Make-up removal and skin cleansing are an essential part of the daily care routine, whether we wear make-up or not. Bacteria and pollen settle on the face throughout the day, which must be washed off to be able to continue the next steps of care. Cleansing is the first step to having trouble-free and healthy skin. In addition, if you use a cream with an SPF filter every day, it should be thoroughly washed off by two-stage cleansing.
Two-stage cleansing
In order to thoroughly dissolve makeup and its waterproof elements, such as mascara, we apply oil. Pour a few drops of the cosmetic into the palm of your hand, rub it in your hands, and then apply the oil to your face. Then we try to emulsify and wash the oil off with warm water. The next step of the two-stage cleansing is a lighter cleaning agent, e.g. foam, gel, milk or micellar liquid. In the second step, we wash off the remnants of make-up that the tonic failed to remove. Proper cleansing not only minimizes the formation of new blackheads and blemishes, but can also prevent the early signs of aging.
It is important to choose products suitable for the individual needs of the skin for cleansing and makeup removal. Often, oils, foams and gels can leave an unpleasant layer on the face or dry it out, so you need to carefully look at the composition of these cosmetics. It is worth looking for natural and vegan compositions on drugstore shelves that contain ingredients such as squalane, hyaluronic acid or tea extracts. Thanks to them, we can be sure that they will be neutral for the skin and even improve its condition.
